codeFRESH is here and more robust than ever! Grounded in Coding and other Technical curriculum, participants between the ages of 16-24 years old will be introduced to a variety of high-and-lo-tech solutions including but not limited to coding language and website and app development. Additionally, participants will engage in hands on experiential learning that examines local climate, environmental, and social justice issues. Informed through this learning, participants will develop and demonstrate Community Solutions Projects (CSPs) that combine applications of the technical and environmental training and advance community SOLutions.
If you would like to join the Spring cohort and agree to commit to being present and actively engaged in the experience as outlined by the schedule listed below, please complete the registration form by 12/15/2023. Fifteen participants will be selected from the pool of applicants.
Curriculum Schedule & Requirements
Collective Time Commitment: (12) Sessions with additional optional office/work hours available.
Virtual sessions are primarily 90 mins alternating Wednesdays (7 - 8:30 PM) and
In-person sessions are 5 hours alternating Saturdays (10 AM - 3 PM) with built in food and work sessions.
Your application signals that you will attend all virtual and in-person sessions throughout the twelve weeks, will work independently and collectively on your Community Solutions Project, and will present your finished products to community on Earth Day , April 20, 2024.
